Regularly I look at pictures or I attend renovation works for multichannel sound installations, be it Dolby Atmos or Barco Auro, and I see cinemas full of scaffoldings that occupy the same space as the seats. And I understand that these infrastructures are necessary when a new cinema is being built.
But what happens when it comes to converting an existing venue to multichannel sound? The room must be closed for at least a fortnight, part -or all- of the seats must be removed and a big scaffold must be built in place.
